On March 28th when Joanne and I attended the photography seminar at
Wolf Park we both met and fell in love with one particular wolf, Aurora.
This is her page.
Born in 1988, Aurora is a small gray female with neotenous features, i.e. a foreshortened
muzzle and domed forehead. She is the smallest wolf at Wolf Park, but, from what we are
told, that doesn't stop her from taking advantage of any situation. At times she can be
very grumbly or very sweet, which we witnessed. She has been nicknamed by the staff
at Wolf Park "Growl-muffin", "Thunder-muffin", or
"Love-muffin" depending on what mood she is in. The staff reports that despite
her age she is still very good with children, groups, and has been adopted by several of
the local schools. She was removed from the main pack in 1994.
Joanne and I plan to adopt her as soon as
we get past tax season and see my next royalty check.
All of the photos on this page were taken by me on our 3/28 trip.
